LinktoDM builds journeys. We answer the comment and stop.

Their plans include a flow builder with delays and conditions, Facebook alongside Instagram, team seats and an API. Ours has none of that, on purpose, and this page is about whether that absence is a saving or a missing feature for you.

Checked LinktoDM’s own site

We make one of these two, so the concessions come first, and everything about the other product was read from LinktoDM's own pages and checked on 24 September 2026.

What is on their plans and not on ours

Their pricing page lists a free plan with 2,000 DMs, two creator accounts and a basic flow builder, then Pro at ₹542 a month billed yearly, or ₹699 monthly, with unlimited DMs, three creator accounts, an advanced flow builder, delays, backtrack, follow-ups with conditions, an automation scheduler, attachments, a DM queue, AI message variations, analytics, segmentation and an affiliate programme. Pro+ at ₹993 a month billed yearly, or ₹1,290 monthly adds six creator accounts, ten team members, payment integration, API access and AI flow features. Their site also covers Facebook as well as Instagram.

On their plans

A flow canvas with delays and conditions. Follow-up sequences. Scheduling. Facebook. Team seats. API access. Segmentation and discount codes.

On ours

Instagram comments and DMs on the official Graph API. No canvas, no sequences, no Facebook, no API, no broadcast, no analytics product.

If any line on the left is load-bearing for your business, stop reading. That is not a polite concession; it is the correct answer and the rest of this page will not change it.

The one thing we do that a canvas does not

A flow is a set of paths drawn in advance. It is excellent at the questions you predicted and silent at the one you did not.

Read the comments under your last Reel that travelled. Five of them are the same five: price, link, size, delivery, is-this-for-beginners. A template answers those, on their product and on ours, free.

The sixth is somebody's actual situation. "Bhai mera skin oily hai ye chalega?" "COD Guwahati tak?" "I bought your ₹499 one in June, is this different?" On a canvas, those either hit a fallback branch written for nobody, or they sit unanswered until you get to them.

Here, that comment is answered in your own voice, drafted against a profile built from replies you actually wrote, and it costs one credit. When the model is unsure, slow, or produces something ungrounded, your own template goes out instead — the written reply is the upgrade, never the default.

A canvas answers the questions you predicted. The bill here only moves for the ones you did not.

Setting ours up takes five screens

No canvas means there is not much to learn, which is the honest upside of a smaller product.

  1. 01

    Connect Instagram

Three permissions — read comments, reply to them, send the DM you wrote. Meta runs the login, so no password reaches us, and you can disconnect from the same screen.

  2. 02

    Write the trigger

Any post, a specific post, or your next post, then the words people actually type. Matching ignores case and punctuation; a negative keyword holds the reply back.

  3. 03

    Write both replies

The public reply that keeps the post moving and the private reply that carries the link. Templates, so free and unlimited however often they fire.

  4. 04

Test on yourself, then go live

The test runs the real pipeline and the same ten checks against your own account, spends no credits, and nothing reaches a follower until you press Go live.

  5. 05

    Read Activity in week one

Sends and refusals, each with a reason: window closed, takeover, duplicate, quiet hours. If it is going to embarrass you, you see it here first.

The PostEngage builder with the keyword chips and the private reply highlighted, annotated step by step
Steps two and three on one screen: the keywords people actually type, and the two replies that go out when one of them matches.

What neither tool can do

Both sit on the official Graph API, so both live inside the same windows: a DM within 24 hours of that person's last message, a comment reply within 7 days. Neither can message a stranger, neither can broadcast to followers on Instagram, and neither sells an exemption. The detail is in is Instagram DM automation safe.

Both bill in rupees too, which matters more than it sounds once you count the forex markup and the GST invoice — that sum is in the cheapest way to automate Instagram DMs in India.

Who should pick which

Pick LinktoDM if you want journeys, Facebook, seats, scheduling or an API. That is a longer list than ours and it is theirs on merit.

Pick this if the product you want is small: answer the comment, in your words, and tell you afterwards exactly what happened. The free tier is 100 credits with no card, the price list is on pricing, and the other Indian comparison worth reading first is ReplyKaro.

When LinktoDM is the better answer

LinktoDM is the better buy for anyone who needs branching journeys, Facebook as well as Instagram, or more than one person working the same inbox. Their pricing page on 24 September 2026 lists an advanced flow builder with delays and conditions, follow-ups, scheduling, team members, segmentation and API access on the higher plan — we ship no canvas, no Facebook, no sequences and no API, so that whole column is theirs.

Questions people ask

What does LinktoDM cost?
Read from their pricing page on 24 September 2026: a free plan with 2,000 DMs, two creator accounts and a basic flow builder; Pro at ₹542 a month billed yearly, or ₹699 monthly, with unlimited DMs, three creator accounts and the advanced builder; Pro+ at ₹993 a month billed yearly, or ₹1,290 monthly, adding payment integration, API access and AI flow features; and Enterprise on request. Open their page before deciding — prices change.
Does LinktoDM use the official Instagram API?
Their site states it is built on Meta official Graph API with zero password access and carries a Meta Business Partner badge, read on 24 September 2026. That is the same footing we are on, and it is the line that matters most in this category: tools that ask for your Instagram password are doing something else entirely.
What does PostEngage have that a flow builder does not give you?
A reply written for the person who asked, when no branch of your flow covers what they said. A canvas is a set of paths you drew in advance; the sixth kind of comment is the one nobody draws. We answer that one in your own voice, and charge a credit for it, and send your template instead whenever the model is unsure.
Is the free plan bigger on their side?
On volume, yes. Theirs lists 2,000 DMs a month with two creator accounts; ours is 100 AI-written replies, with templated replies unlimited underneath and one Instagram account. Different units: theirs caps how many messages go out, ours caps how many of them a model composed. Ours does not stop sending when the hundred are gone — it stops being clever.
Can I keep LinktoDM and trial PostEngage?
Yes, and it is the sane way to evaluate anything here. Leave your flows running and give us a single surface — comments on one Reel, or story replies. Do not point both tools at the same trigger, because the commenter receives two DMs and you learn nothing except that you made a mess.
