Free Plans of Indian Instagram DM Tools, Read Side by Side

Seven Indian Instagram automation tools publish a free tier and they cap completely different things — DMs a month, DMs an hour, automations, or AI replies.

"Free forever" means something different on every pricing page in this category, which is what makes the tier hard to shop for. One product caps the number of DMs a month, another caps them per hour, a third caps how many automations you may build, and a fourth caps only the part a model writes.

Here is what each one published on its own page, with the date we read it.

Every row except ours comes from that company's own pricing page on the date shown. Free tiers change often — open the page before you rely on a row.

The four shapes, and what each one costs you later

A monthly DM cap is the most common. It is easy to understand and it fails the same way for everyone: the month a Reel travels is the month you hit it, which is also the month the DMs were worth sending.

A per-hour delivery cap is rarer and more honest about what actually happens during a spike. Nothing sends instantly on Instagram at any price; the queue drains at a rate. QuickDM's page says so directly, noting that viral posts queue and deliver as capacity resets.

An automation count caps the shape of your setup rather than its volume. Three automations is plenty for one product and awkward for a catalogue.

A cap on the written part is what we do: templates you wrote are free and unlimited on every tier, and only a reply written by the model spends a credit. The free tier does not stop sending when the hundred credits are gone; it stops being clever and falls back to your own template.

Read what each free tier stops doing when you hit the cap. That sentence is the whole product decision.

The questions to ask about any free tier

  1. What happens at the cap? Sending stops, queues, or degrades to templates. All three exist in this market and the pages rarely say which.
  2. Is a card required? Several of these genuinely do not ask for one, which makes a fortnight of testing free rather than nearly free.
  3. How many Instagram accounts? One on most free tiers, two on a couple. This matters the moment you manage a second brand.
  4. Is it the official Meta API on the free tier too? It should be the same API on every tier. If a page only mentions it under a paid plan, ask.
  5. Does the free tier include the refusal record? Knowing why a reply did not send is the difference between operating and guessing, and it should not be a paid feature.

What a free tier is actually for

Not saving money. Answering one question: when this tool replies to your followers, do the replies read like you?

Nothing on a pricing page tells you that. Twenty replies do. So the correct use of any free tier here is a fortnight on one surface — comments on a single Reel — with your four most common answers loaded in, and then reading what went out.

One more column nobody publishes

What the free tier does with a comment that matches no keyword.

On most of these the honest answer is nothing: the rule did not fire, so the person waits for you. That is not a flaw, it is what a keyword tool is. But it is the single largest difference between two products whose pricing pages look identical, and it never appears in a comparison table because it is not a number.

Ours answers that comment on the free tier — that is what the hundred credits are for — and falls back to your template when the model is unsure. Once they are spent, the behaviour becomes the same as everyone else's until you top up, which is a degraded mode rather than an outage.

Where the free tiers converge

Every tool here is bounded by the same two clocks, free or paid: a DM can be sent within 24 hours of that person's last message, and a comment answered within 7 days. Nobody sells an exemption, and a product implying otherwise is not describing the official API.

All of these also bill in rupees, which for a registered business is worth more than the sticker difference — no forex markup and a GST invoice at the end of it. That arithmetic is in the cheapest way to automate Instagram DMs in India.

Our free tier, and what sits behind it, is on pricing. The sourced head-to-heads for the tools in that table are on DMKaro, DMGO, QuickDM, LinktoDM, ReplyMitra, SuperProfile and ReplyKaro, and what every one of them lives inside is in is Instagram DM automation safe.
