If you are searching for a DMKaro alternative, the first thing worth saying is that on price you are unlikely to find one. Their pricing page, read on 24 September 2026, shows a free plan and a Creator plan at ₹99 a month, or ₹89 a month billed yearly, with unlimited automations, unlimited rules, unlimited DMs and comment, story and DM triggers.
So the useful question is not "what is cheaper". It is "what is a flat plan not doing for me".
The three reasons people actually switch
In this category the complaint is almost never the price. It is one of these.
The replies are all the same sentence. Which is correct behaviour for a template, and fine until somebody asks something the template was not written for.
Comments get missed. Somebody wrote "kitne ka hai" and your keyword said "price", so nothing went out and you found it four days later.
Nobody can explain a missing reply. A person swears they commented and got nothing. Without a record of what was refused and why, you are guessing.
What to check in any replacement
Not the feature list. Four things, in this order.
- Official Meta API, in writing. Anything asking for your Instagram password is a different risk category from a Meta tech provider on the Graph API. Vendors that are on it say so on the page.
- What the meter counts. Months, sends, delivery per hour, contacts, conversations or written replies — this is what decides your bill in the week a Reel travels.
- Rupee billing and a GST invoice. For a registered business, dollar billing costs the forex markup plus an invoice your accountant cannot claim against.
- A readable refusal. Windows close, duplicates arrive, humans take over mid-thread. A tool that names the reason a reply did not send is a tool you can actually operate.
What the sixth comment costs you
Pull up the last Reel that travelled and read the comments in order.
Five kinds repeat: price, link, size, delivery, is-this-for-beginners. Templates answer those, and templates are free on almost every tool here including ours.
Then the sixth: "bhai mera skin oily hai, ye chalega?", "Guwahati COD hota hai?", "I already bought the June pack, kya isme naya hai?". Those are not keywords. They are one person's situation, and a template written for somebody else is worse than useful — people can tell.
The cheap part of this category is sending. The expensive part is knowing what to say.
Where PostEngage sits
We are more expensive than a ₹99 plan and there is no point pretending otherwise. What that buys is narrow: templated replies are free and unlimited here too, and a credit is spent only when the model writes a new reply, drafted against a voice profile built from replies you actually wrote. When it is unsure, your own template goes out instead.
Then ten checks before every send — kill switch, connection, takeover, window, dedupe, cooldown, quiet hours, rate budget, credits, content safety — with the first failure recorded. Takeover is the one people notice: answer someone by hand and the automation stands down on that thread.

What a flat plan is genuinely better at
Worth stating, because a comparison that finds nothing good in the cheaper product is an advert.
A flat monthly is predictable. You know in January what December costs, which matters when the business is you and a phone. It also removes a decision from every busy week: nobody wants to think about a meter while a Reel is travelling. And for an account that posts three times a week with five recurring questions, the unlimited-sends shape is exactly right — there is no second layer of value for a per-reply meter to sell you.
The only accounts where the arithmetic turns are the ones whose inbox is genuinely varied, and you can measure that in a week rather than argue about it.
Test it without switching anything
Checklist
If the count is zero or one, the flat plan wins and you have your answer for ₹0. If it is five, that is a quarter of your inbox getting a real answer instead of a generic one, and only you can price what that is worth against the difference.
The sourced head-to-head is on our DMKaro comparison, the rupee-versus-dollar arithmetic is in the cheapest way to automate Instagram DMs in India, and what every tool in this category is bounded by — the 24 hour DM window and the 7 day comment window — is in is Instagram DM automation safe.
